I'm having a quiet day today, before the chaos of Chrismtas day and the days after. I'm wandering over to my parents' place Monday afternoon (that's tomorrow for me) and spending Christmas Eve at their place. And then we're goig to my grandparents' place Christmas morning to open our presents before returning for our seafood and salad lunch. *grins* It's too bloody hot to cook, and seafood is the only meat I'll still eat anyway. Later on in the day some other friends and rellos are coming round to mum and dad's place - as my auntie Leanne said to me the other day when I bailed her up in her front yard (half-cut, as seems to be my permanent state lately), my parents' place is where you go to relax on Christmas Day. The rest is just obligation. *grins again* They do have the set-up for it, with the bar and the large beer fridge and the spa. *makes mental note to take her swimsuit*

It's starting to feel a bit more Christmassy. Mum and Dad had the tree up when I went around yesterday, except for the star on top, which they'd left for me. And I got Christmas cards today from my brother, Amanda and Andraste. And Draste's had a nifty little Tim Hunter drabble that was just lovely. :) So I'm feeling a tad more festive. Although it's hard not to worry about stuff - not so much me and mine, but about other people. I hate it when friends are in trouble, especially when they're out of reach. Ah, the downside of the Net - you can't turn up on people's doorsteps to drag them off for a coffee or a quiet ale.

House is nice and clean now, after several weeks of blokeness - I don't care what people say, there is something inherently untidy about most men. And there's nothing more irritating than stepping on sticky patches on the kitchen floor in bare feet. Especially if it's strawberry jam.
