Day 21 – Another moment

My favourite part of the day is waking up when I don't have get up straight away. I can cuddle down in the duvet and lie there, enjoying the warmth and peace. There's a warm weight by my feet and other around my lower back - Spike and Angel, curled into calls of fur. Then, as I start waking up more, one of them will notice and come asking for pats and half-asleep scritches happen. There's warm and purring and licking (if it's Angel) and the occasional nibble (if it's Spike) and the world happening outside and me not having to be part of it until I want to.
