deathpixie*chuckles* I'd forgotten to mention this, but it was on the news again. Yesterday an Aussie speed skater won our first ever Winter Olympic gold medal. And in true Aussie fashion, it was more arse than class. All the other competetors had fallen while he was hanging safely in the back, and simply skated past to take the gold.
*snickers* You can just see the expression on his face saying: "What the fuck?"

Date: 2002-02-18 08:38 am (UTC)JB, Dex, and I watched it at the bar on Sat. night. You'd have loved it, they whole bar was cheering and clapping for the Aussie. :)
Then you had the amusement of watching the American and the Canadian scramble/crawl across the finish line for the silver and bronze. :)
