deathpixieYes, this does happen occasionally. Moreso than lately, but what the hey, I'm on holidays and it's good to break out of the mold. But I realised people need dates for things, so here we go. :)
Sunday, 11 August - Mel and I are catching a bus to New York. Should arrive around 4 in the afternoon. Final bookings to be made once we're sure we have a place to kip.
Monday, 12 August - Wandering around New York. Domenika, if you're still interested in playing Native Guide, we'd love to catch up. Besides, I have your camera, which you left in the hotel lobby. Or at least, I was told it's yours. And Mel has expressed a museum interest. :)
Tuesday, 13 August. Bus back to Laurel to pick up stuff (arriving afternoon-ish, again, final times tomorrow) and then descend on Hilly, I think. Must contact the HIlly to make sure this is okay. Need a Hilly phone number - can you email me at joma@hotkey.net.au, mate?
Wednesday 14 August to Saturday 16 August - Hanging in Baltimore at the Hilly-House. There are rumours Benway is interested in throwing a dinner party - this could be a good time. Also for catching up with various Baltimore folks - and there's a lot of you out there. :)
Saturday 17 August - Heading for Kingsport with Hilly and Mel. I did check this with Epona, but just to make doubly sure - this is okay, yes?
Monday 19 July - Savannah, to hopefully pester a Duey. Again, I did kinda check this was okay, but again, confirmation? Can you put up with the three of us for a couple of days, Duet?
Wednesday 21 August - Atlanta. Time to descend on the magificence that is Queen B. And everyone, if you haven't already, wish her many happy birthday vibes for today. Because she rocks.
Friday 23rd August - Knoxville with Alestar. By this stage we'll be Greyhounding it, or some other form of public-type transport, so I'm guessing it will be one of those kooky overnight buses. Something to sort out at Hilly's, I think. Especially since we can get better deals if we book early.
Saturday 24 August - Depart for Cincinatti, to stay with the elusive Hutch. Again, another probable overnighter. Must remember to remind Mel to email Hutch - I've lost her contact details.
Monday 26 August - Back in Toronto, since Mel hasn't actually seen that much of the place and wants to before she flies out on the 29th. And it'll give Gerg and I time to organise Road Trip 2, which will cover larger areas. That starts, I _think_ sometime aournd September 1. Wow, a month already gone.
So that's the Plan. Hope it answers some questions, or clears some confusion. I am writing various thoughtful-type posts, just can't seem to get my head around anything more poetical than lists tonight. Must be the fact it's 2am and there's Secret Sparkly Business going on in the living room.
At least I have clean underwear for tomorrow. :)

Date: 2002-08-10 12:42 pm (UTC)Anyway, it's hard to get lost in Savannah if you stay in the downtown area. Everything's laid out in nice little squares, and the streets all run exactly north/south or east/west.

However, I will make arrangements to meet ya'll whenever I can, and that night take you to Savannah. I live about 45min-1 hr away in the deep country, so it'll be a drive. However, if driving isn't a problem, I'm perfectly willing to lend you my car while I'm at work so you can drive to Savannah and do fun stuff while I'm toiling for the man. :) The nights, though, are totally and completely mine, so whoo hooo!
I do need to know diets, as we're planning a cookout of some sort while you're here. . .

Date: 2002-08-10 06:30 pm (UTC)Mel eats pretty much everything (except some seafood, I think) and I'm mostly vegetarian. Which means I'll eat fish and seafood, just nothing else. And we both can cook, so help will be provided should you need it, especially for this fussy eater. ;) If Hilly's still with us at that point (and I'm not sure) she's a proper vegetarian. Not like me, being all half-arsed about it. ;)
