Blood-suckers
Jun. 24th, 2003 11:21 amSo, I have just returned from my first visit to the Blood Bank. And I'm pleased to note that no, I did not pass out, although I did feel woozy for a portion of it. I have, apparently, excellent haemoglobin levels (not bad for a vegetarian, eh?), and the chickenpox of last year was actually good, since it means I may have antibodies still. On the downside, I have tiny little veins and sluggish blood, despite the litre of water I drank this morning, which meant I was there for ages and they couldn't get all they wanted out of me. But I am going to try again in ten weeks, and try and improve the water-drinking in the meantime.
So, go me. :)
