Snow doesn't fall, it floats.
Right now it looks like a snowglobe out there, or perhaps a ticker tape parade where people are throwing down fragments of tissue paper instead. It's all very novel, since the only snow I've seen falling has been in the ski resorts of Australia, where it's more a mixture of sleet and snow, and rather icky to be out in.
If this keeps up, I'll wander up to High Park this afternoon with my camera.

Also, a technical-ish question. I've noticed people using YouSendIt to post links to music downloads in their LJs, and I'm wanting to know how you do that since a) I now have access to broadband and b) I'm not hugely wealthy this Christmas and music is the Christmas gift to all that doesn't cost me. ;) I could just email folks directly with songs, but I was wanting to do "Rossi's 12 songs of the year" or something themic like that.
Help?

Date: 2005-12-07 05:35 pm (UTC)Put your own email addy in the first box.
Use the "Browse" button to find the song on your hard drive.
Skip the rest, go to the end and hit SEND. Wait. And Wait. And be patient. They don't have a reliable progress bar. When the file sends, it will send you an email with a link. Viola! Just give that link to your friends, paste it in an entry in your journal or into an email, and they can go to the link and retrieve the song.
The link will expire after a while. If it does, just repeat the process to get a fresh link to share.
Easy!
