Merryness is highly underrated. I don't think you should have to be christian or capitalist to be merry.

So, well and truly back in Toronto having had an extremely merry and happy Christmas. I spent Christmas Eve in London with Dex's mum and step-dad, with his sister and her husband and two kids visiting from Brisbane. Oh, the joy of a thick Queensland accent! *grins* I also got a call from the family, including the grandparents and my brother, which was most welcome. And dinner... *drools* Dex's family cooks well.
Christmas Day was spent opening gifts and then we caught the bus to Hamilton, where Dex's dad and step-mum live. Lunch was steak (for the meat eaters) and lobster tail and garlic shrimp, so I had my Christmas seafood fix. *happydances* And there was also the experience of the Christmas stocking, which is different to the Christmas pillowcases of my childhood. Basically it's a sock filled with various little bits and pieces of a Christmassy nature. They're a lot of fun.
Dex's dad drove us home that night and it was snowing as we arrived, big wet fluffy flakes - we ended up going for a walk (and taking yet more photos - I have a lot to load onto this page now!) before heading back and cracking open a bottle of red and watching one of my presents - Dex got me the first season of House, and he loves it as much as I do. *grins* I also got some really lovely earrings from Mum and Dad *hugs* and Neverwhere on DVD from [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] which just rocks. :)
The weather's been relatively 'warm' - above zero degrees and raining, which means the snow's all melted, unfortunately. Still, I got my
[Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] got here yesterday morning, and we've spent the last couple of days just relaxing, mainly because it's been a hectic couple of days. I'm back at work tomorrow, 10-3 for the rest of the week, [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] gets here tomorrow morning, [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] arrives tomorrow evening and the day after that most of the other New Year's partyers arrive. It's going to be a fun week. :)

Date: 2005-12-28 03:42 am (UTC)And from what I've seen (2 S1 eps, 2 S2 eps) it's very formulaic.
And the "glorious snark" just makes me want to punch him. It takes all kinds, and I'm not much of a House, MD kind of guy.

Oh, also, Dex wants an icon of House with the text "Gribbit". I can't do text with my graphics program... *hint*
